About the Project
‘Aashray’ is a place which aims to provide the elderly citizens sound support in their years of need and care without boundaries of caste, creed, color and religion.
The objective of ‘Aashray’ is to provide shelter, food, clothes, bed, medicine and other facilities to elderly men and women who are bereft of shelter and without the support of near-relatives. The executive committee of the trust is empowered to make exceptions, if any, in respect of beneficiaries and the services being provided to them. In today’s busy and hectic digital world, in spite of having all the luxuries besides the necessities, our respected elders are away from the required happiness of life because of loneliness. Basic needs for a good life revolve around Love, Faith and Harmony. Taking this thought as its principle policy, ‘Aashray’ is an innovative step to provide shelter with love, food, faith and medicine with harmony.
Infrastructure
With an overall plan to accommodate around 10 people in total, initially ‘Aashray’ will be constructed to accommodate 10 rooms on twin sharing basis (i.e. 20 people) and an additional dormitory for about 20 people. 10000 sq ft land has been acquired and the commencement of the first phase began on the auspicious day of Mahashivra on 10th March 2013. A ground + 2 storied building is on the drawing board and will inculcate itself to reality in order to accommodate all the above. For further expansions, adjacent 3 plots of the same size have been reserved.
A proposed plan of the building to be constructed can be seen in the proposed layout. ‘Aashray’ will be equipped with facilities which include a library, dining area, dormitories, prayer hall, first aid dispensary with an ambulance on standby as well.

Location
It is said that an active man is as young as he feels. With this concept, a landscape garden for activities like agriculture, yoga, etc. are under planning which will result in good health and productive utilisation of time.
